One talking point conservatives have long used is "liberals are socialists." Fact is: The US has long been a socialist state. Public schools, public roads, public health care for politicians, publicly-financed pensions, publicly-financed political campaigns, publicly-owned sports arenas, public food supply systems and much more. And every conservatives favorite: Public subsidies to huge corporations.

What also smacks of communism is: the end of Habeus Corpus, a blanket warrant for guns in homes in Washington DC, legalized torture, the ability of your own government to declare you an enemy of the state. No lawyer, no call, no judge, no hearing, no jury, but there is incarceration. Woohoo!

The precedents set over the last 7 years have brought Freedom in America to its knees.
